As the School Director of Academy at Ivy Ridge, I am excited to be involved with the work I love. My beautiful wife, May Beth, and I have two daughters, Seaira and Bra'Kel. The twinkle in Seaira's and Bra'Kel's eyes and their playful, unique spirits remind me of the true nature of our students.

The Academy at Ivy Ridge is located in such a beautiful setting. As I look out upon the mighty St. Lawrence River, I sense its strong rushing current. The Academy at Ivy Ridge, like the river, is a strong and powerful force. This expansive river is a passageway for magnificent barges carrying supplies from the east to the Great Lakes. The barges call to mind the tremendous weight and 'baggage' our families have carried for so long, a weight that tore at the foundation of their family unity. Like the river, Ivy Ridge is here to buoy them up and help them make it through to their destination, to a place where they can be relieved of their burden and create resolution. We are a passageway to assist in the forgiveness, healing and reconciliation of families. We know the way is not always easy but if you ask the families that have 'made the voyage,' I am confident they will relate that it was worth it! The Programs have been tried, tested and proven to work. The Program structure is like a spiral staircase. As parents place trust in the process, and close the "back doors," the child begins an upward climb towards a better quality of life. At Academy at Ivy Ridge, we adhere to these prescribed outlines and revel in their effectiveness.

I have confidence in the forum for greatness Ivy Ridge offers our students and their families: personal development, leadership skills, academic excellence, and honest, loving communication with each other. We are committed to creating an environment in which children can gain confidence within themselves, to make choices that will be productive and propel them positively forward in life. The students will become leaders amongst their peers and within their families. Through quality education, our students gain the necessary tools to further their educational goals. We create an environment that encourages change with a positive, proactive attitude. We desire an open line of communication between the school, parents and students. Together we can work as a team, and this team will reunite families. I'm excited to serve you and I assure you that I am committed to assist you in any way I can.
